The Website has been redone to include expanded archives Local
Posts and Archives . If you have a local post link that is not there please send it to me for inclusion,
Remember send me your material either by E mail or snail mail to be included on the website and/or the Poster. I
am currently seeking new material for the September-October Poster.
Both the Poster and the website can ONLY be a success with the input from the members. Thank you for support in
making the web site and the Poster a success!

The Local Post Collectors Society is devoted to the study, collecting and
dissemination of modern world’s Local Posts, stamps and related collectibles and to provide guidance to members in establishing
and operating their own Local Posts. The Society aspires to create a feeling of fellowship that unites Local Posts everywhere
through correspondence by cultivating opportunities to exchange stamps and collectibles, thereby generating a greater understanding
and enjoyment of our hobby.

Rattlesnake Island Local Post Issues
2010 Stamps
On August 6, 2010, Rattlesnake Island will issue its new 2010 local post stamps. The 2010 stamps feature Mail To Paradise
– 25¢ (artist rendering of Griffing aircraft flying towards Island), General Aviation – 50¢ (artist
rendering of Griffing aircraft landing at R.I.), and South Lodge in Winter - $1.00 (artist rendering of South
Lodge and Lighthouse in Wintertime). The 2010 stamps feature artwork by Beth Gregerson. All stamps will be issued in
perf and imperf format.
As like last year, send your first day cover requests to:

Make sure to leave the bottom left corner blank for the RILP stamps and frank the upper right corner with the appropriate
US first class postage. If you do not want your covers to go into the mailstream, please include a stamped SASE with your
order. Also, make sure your covers arrive before the issue date of 8/6/10 Please make checks payable to Rattlesnake Island
